Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Devin Campana '23 Featured in Mark Twain Editorial Journal
At the coaching of English teacher and Mark Twain Journal Editorial Board Member John Pascal, Devin Campana ’23 had his first article published in its Spring 2025 issue. As part of a writing course at the University of Utah, Devin wrote an opinion piece against book censorship, particularly against Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, now celebrating its 140th publication anniversary. MTJ Editor and Publisher Dr. Joe Fulton of Baylor University views Devin’s work as a “forceful and refreshing perspective on the subject.”
Devin’s article marks his third publication as a writer. His thoughts on Twain’s world travels were reflected along with those of his Writings of Mark Twain classmates in Mr. Pascal’s MTJ Spring 2024 article as well as Dr. Shelley Fisher Fishkin’s latest book, Jim: The Life and Afterlives of Huckleberry Finn’s Comrade, published by Yale University Press.
Devin remarks, “It comes as a shock and surprise to see my words in a formal publication. If it weren’t for the guidance of Mr. Pascal, I don’t think I would have had the opportunity to be in such a prestigious journal.
