For Seventh Graders

Since its founding in 1856, Seton Hall Preparatory School has provided young men with a holistic educational experience, grounded in our four pillars of family, faith, compassion, and courage. In an effort to share our mission with younger students, Seton Hall Prep is proud to offer a variety of academic, athletic, and social experiences to current seventh grade – and younger – students.

  • Freshman for a Day for Seventh Grade Students

Spend a day shadowing a Seton Hall Prep freshman!

The Freshman for a Day Program is the perfect way for seventh graders to experience Seton Hall Prep for the first time! This unique opportunity is available to 7th grade students between March 8 and May 20, 2021.

In order to provide as personal a visit as possible, we limit visitation to five visitors per day. Visitors should plan to arrive on by 8:30 on the day of their scheduled visit. Classes begin each morning at 8:45 and conclude at 2:45 each afternoon. Parents are invited to return to the Admission Office at 2:30 for an informal gathering with the Director of Admission and other parents.

Each Freshman for a Day visitor should dress in a button-down shirt and tie, khaki-type pants, belt, socks, and dress shoes. (No sneakers, please.) Visitors may also request a specific ninth grade host for the day when making their appointment. Should the Freshman for a Day visitor not know a current student to serve as his host, the Director of Admission will select one for him – someone possibly from the same school or town or who shares a common interest.

Each visitor is also welcome to bring an 7th grade friend along who may also be interested in experiencing The Prep for a day. The two can be paired and are able to spend the day together while visiting. Both boys will need to make their own on-line appointments before visiting.

Each visitor will be provided with a custom padfolio, pen, and Seton Hall Prep PPE mask!  At the end of the school day, each Freshman for a Day visitor will receive his own official Seton Hall Prep shirt!

  • Seton Hall Prep Athletic Camps

“Walking through the hallways of Seton Hall Prep is both a humbling and inspiring experience for any aspiring young athlete... One is virtually surrounded by other highly driven and successful young men.” - Marty Berman – Varsity Soccer Coach
Since her founding in 1856, Seton Hall Prep and her student athletes have amassed 337 conference, county, and state championships across 15 different sports. The purpose of the Seton Hall Prep Athletic Department is two-fold: to provide the tools to achieve athletic success, and to give our young men the skills necessary to succeed in life. Each summer, future and current Pirates of all ages are invited to attend one (or more!) of our many athletic camps, offered at The Prep’s own Kelly Athletic Complex and main campus in West Orange. Please see our athletic site for full details and contact information for Summer 2021 camps!
