Mothers' Auxiliary

The Mothers' Auxiliary is an integral part of the Seton Hall Prep community. It is the link between the mothers and guardians of Seton Hall Prep students and the administration and faculty of the Prep. All mothers and guardians of current students are members of the organization, and regular monthly meetings are held throughout the school year.

The Mothers' Auxiliary strives to provide opportunities for social events and spiritual growth at our Welcome Mass and Brunch in September, a Christmas Social in December, and our Ash Wednesday Mass and Soup Supper each Lenten season. The major objective of our organization is to provide monetary support for the school and this is accomplished through our two major fundraisers each year; the annual Fashion Show in November and the Tuition Raffle held every May at our Mother/Son Dinner.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, some of our yearly events will need to be postponed and perhaps even canceled this year.  We hope that you all understand that our planning needs to be on a week to week basis, keeping in mind that we will do everything we can to make your Prep experience one that you will treasure regardless of the circumstances.  We know that we will all come together in this difficult time to support our boys and the Prep in any way that we can.

Being active in the Mothers' Auxiliary is an ideal way to make life-long friends, as well as provide all mother/guardians the opportunity to feel a part of the school.

Event Details:
  • Attire: Students are required to wear blazer, tie and khakis or dress pants.
  • Attendees: Each student is allowed one (1) guest, which is traditionally his mother or guardian. If for some reason the mother/guardian is unable to attend, another special adult female in his life, such as an aunt, grandmother, godmother or sister may attend. The student also has the option to attend with another classmate and his mother/guardian.
  • Seating: Each table seats ten (10)people. Each adult must register for themselves and their son(s). If you wish to sit with a specific group, please designate one person in the group as table captain and indicate that person.
  • Arrival: Please check in at the registration table where you will receive your seating information.  Social distancing will be requested and masks should be worn unless eating or drinking.
  • ALL STUDENTS MUST SIT WITH THEIR MOTHERS/GUARDIANS.

Donations:
Due to the huge success of the Grand Raffle the Mothers' Auxiliary was able to make a $60,000 donation to the school.  The MA typically donates approximately $90,000 each year, with a big part coming from the Fall Fashion Show.  This is great accomplishment in a year where we could not hold the show.
