Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Seton Hall Prep Soccer is excited to take the pitch at Red Bull Arena on September 8, 2023 against fellow Non-Public A competitor Delbarton. The match will be the second of the season for the Pirates in 2023, who finished last seasons campaign as State Finalists and Essex County and Super Essex Conference champions.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the incredible quality and atmosphere that New Jersey high school soccer has to offer," stated Athletic Director Larry Baggitt H'18.
"Playing in a professional stadium with an impeccable playing surface will hopefully put both teams at their best," commented Head Coach Marty Berman H'05. "I hope to see a passionate group of students, alumni, family, and friends in Pirate Nation supporting the boys."
Tickets MUST be purchased through OUR link so funds get proportionally allocated after the match between both schools. Purchasing a ticket grants entry to BOTH the SHP vs. Delbarton match on 9/8/23, but also the NYRB vs. DC United match on August 20, 2023. Tickets start at $32.
To sponsor tickets for the SHP student body (as this price point is notably higher than typical high school sporting events), or to learn of additional ways to support the soccer program, please reach out to Director of Institutional Advancement, James Boyle, jboyle@shp.org or Head Coach Marty Berman, mberman@shp.org.
