Class of 2022 Valedictorian & Salutatorian Announced
Seton Hall Prep is proud to announce Bedros Maldjian and Christian Robinson as Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively, for the Class of 2022.
"The Seton Hall Prep community has been enriched by the presence of these two fine Setonians, who have lived their well-rounded Prep experiences to the fullest, and who have exemplified the spirit of The Prep as men of service at school and in their local communities," stated President Msgr. Michael E. Kelly '57 and Headmaster, Mr. Michael G. Gallo '79. Dr. James Incardona, Assistant Headmaster for Academics, and Mrs. Lisa Sgaramella, Assistant Headmaster for Faculty added, "Bedros and Christian are models of character and academic achievement. The administration and faculty are proud of them, and are pleased to honor them for their immense accomplishments and dedication to scholarship."

Bedros Maldjian is a National Merit Commended Scholar, Seton Scholar and member of the National Honor Society. Bedros has never received a grade below A+ in any course. Bedros is a leader within our community, a dynamic young man with a unique breadth and depth of involvement. Bedros is a member of our Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams and has emerged as leader, mentor and friend to underclassmen. He is an accomplished pianist who has played in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall. Bedros is an integral member of our Math, Quiz Bowl and Mock Trial Teams just to name a few. Bedros is a young man of faith and service who has consistently volunteered at his local parish. Although Bedros academic accomplishments are well known, his character, integrity and humility are most often highlighted by members of our community. Bedros will be attending Princeton University in the fall.
Christian Robinson is a National Merit Commended Scholar, a recipient of the Seal of Biliteracy in English & Spanish, a member of the National & Spanish Honor Societies and is a Seton Scholar. Christian is a leader within our community. He is kind, compassionate and self-assured; always following a strong moral compass. Christian was selected by faculty and staff to be a Peer Leader-mentoring a homeroom of freshman. He has been a member of our varsity Crew and Ice Hockey teams and serves part-time as a certified ice hockey referee. Christian’s passion for Spanish language propelled him to teach ESL courses to native Spanish speakers. He is a member of our Math team, an acolyte in his local Parish and one of our members of the SHP Family Leaders organization. Christian will be attending Washington University in St. Louis in the fall.
The Prep recognized the great accomplishments of the 2022 senior class at the Celebration of Excellence on Friday, April 29, and will announce additional awards recognizing exceptional character and achievement in areas of activities, athletics, arts, academics, service and more at the Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement ceremony on June 4 and June 5, respectively.
