At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.

National Honor Society Inducts New Members

Last night, in a return to a live ceremony, the Walter McMahon Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 90 new members at a convocation in the Bayley Seton Auditorium. Prep senior and NHS officer John McClain served as master of ceremonies, introducing SHP Chaplain Fr. Bogumil Misiuk ‘08 for an invocation, Headmaster Michael Gallo ’79, and Assistant Headmasters Lisa Sgaramella and Dr. James Incardona for welcoming remarks. SHP Conselor Mark Vitale ’10 offered the keynote talk, describing his personal journey to the position he relishes currently as a member of the School Counseling Department...

...NHS officers James Bailey, Angel Martinez, Zach Levy and Peter Batanjany followed, each lighting a candle representing one of the qualities the members of the organization are called to model, and in turn offering remarks on the four pillars of the organization— character, leadership, service and academic excellence. Wrapping up the ceremony, each of the inductees was called forward to receive a certificate of membership and an NHS lapel pin.
