SHP Students Win National Chinese Language Awards

Four SHP students have distinguished themselves at the national level with awards in Mandarin Chinese, having participated in the 2023 Essay Competition and 2024 Talent Competition for CLASS (The Chinese Language Association of Elementary-Secondary Schools). 

Whye Li Ong ’24 was awarded Honorable Mention for his entry in the Chinese Essay contest, which addressed social injustice. Luke Chua ’25 and Nicholas Romeo ’25 both earned Second Place in the Talent Contest’s Instruments and Language categories, respectively. Kyle Phillips ’25 won Honorable Mention in the Singing category of the Talent Contest. The performances of both Chua and Romeo can be found here. Congratulations to all our winners!
