Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
Educating the whole man includes teaching a true understanding of the importance of service and actually participating in the service of others in need.
Pirates Soccer Prevails Over West Orange in Essex County Title Game, 2-0
A Dave Schuster goal barely six minutes into the game, and a second by Charles Giordano in the waning moments of the game nailed down Seton Hall Prep's 2-0 victory in the Essex County Soccer Championship game last night at Belleville Stadium. It marked The Prep's seventh title overall, and fourth since 2015. • The potent West Orange attack was continually stymied by a refuse-to-break Prep defense manned by Zach Levy, Edward Zazzali, along side Alex Oladapo and Zaiden James. Keeper Aidan Batista came up big, time and time again, with punch-outs of potentially lethal West Orange throw-ins and scrambles in the box. • Head Coach Marty Berman was up against former player Doug Nevins, a 1991 Prep graduate and now the Mountaineer head coach. Nevins played at The Prep with the fathers of a pair of current Prep players- keeper Batista and midfielder Joaquin Niehenke. Seton Hall is now 13-0-1 and ranked No. 2 in the NJ.com Top 20.
