Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
Educating the whole man includes teaching a true understanding of the importance of service and actually participating in the service of others in need.
The Seton Hall Prep Cross Country team claimed its first NJISAA Prep State Championship in 10 years after a several year hiatus from the race. On an unfamiliar and challenging course at Blair Academy, the Pirates set out to run a smart first mile on a hilly course with several sudden and steep downhills...
Senior co-captains Nolan Orr and Colin Schweitzer came through the 1st mile in a pack of four in 5:05. By the 2nd mile Schweitzer and Krishna Kakani from Peddie ran side by side as they separated from the pack. Orr did not let the gap widen and fought to keep contact. On the long grassy flats, Schweitzer fought off a determined runner from Hun and Orr followed close behind, finishing in 2nd (16:27) and 5th (16:32) respectively. Junior Kevin Harvey (7th-17:00), junior Luke Incardona (14th-17:40) and sophomore Ben Ferrara (16th-17:46) completed the scoring for the Pirates. The team posted a 17:05 team average. Sophomore Danny Collum (17:55) and senior Brian Phillips (18:02) rounded out the Varsity seven.
