1) Food and PPE equipment collection

We will be collecting non-perishable food for St. John's and St. Mary's Parishes in Newark. We will bring PPE to nearby hospitals. We will have collection bins inside Door #1 at the school and accept donations Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am till 1 pm.

2) Canterbury Gardens Nursing Home, West Orange

We have been visiting our nearby nursing home every Wednesday before the quarantine. Of the close to 130 virus deaths in West Orange 60% have been at Nursing Homes, including Canterbury. They naturally have no visitors, volunteer help and most of the activity staff have quit and will not be replaced anytime soon. The residents are in a living hell.

Fr. John, Fr. Jim, Gabe Kovach and myself will be Zooming them a few times a week to entertain them, chat with them and pray with them. If you want to join us on a regular or occasional basis please let me know and I will include you in the Zoom link emails.

3) St. Ann's Jersey City

St. Ann's Nursing Home in Jersey City is seeking generic greeting letters for their residents. Privacy laws restrict them from supplying names. If any classes are looking for a nice little project this could be it. Letters can be sent to Peace Care at St. Ann's, 198 Old Bergen Road, Jersey City.

4) New Day Virtual Camp

Camp New Day has cancelled the summer camp but we will be doing half hour Zoom get togethers for clients and counselors a few times a week. If any students want to join us or put together a short video or live Zoom performance we will be doing them all year.

Mr. Vincent McMahon will be sending you the specific items St. Mary's and St. John's are especially looking for once I get their more current list. HZF
