Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
On Tuesday, May 20th, a UH-65 helicopter aircrew from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City (the "Blackjacks") visited Seton Hall Prep to give a presentation on aviation operations in the maritime domain.
The helicopter was crewed by LCDR Patrick Buckley, LT Andrew Carroll, and AET3 Hailee Gjerde. Students in Aerospace, Computer Science, Physics, Physical Science, and STEM Projects participated in the presentation by sitting inside the helicopter and asking questions of the crew. Local recruiters from the U.S. Coast Guard Newark office also participated. The aircrew and recruiters were treated to lunch and invited to experience the newest SHP Flight Simulator. We are grateful to U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City for their ongoing support of Aerospace and STEM education here at Seton Hall Prep.
