What are the admissions criteria?
In order to be admitted as an International Student to Seton Hall Prep, the applicant must:
- Complete and submit the Seton Hall Prep Application for Admission along with the $50 application fee. Applications for admission will be available online in early September 2016.
- Submit formal school transcripts for both the current year and the previous two years. In order to do this, complete the Transcript Release Form and return it to the applicant's current school so that they can forward his records to Seton Hall Prep.
- Participate in an interview (either via Skype or in person) with the Director of Admission and Director of the International Program and submit a writing sample which will be provided after successful completion of the interview.
- Demonstrate English proficiency by means of TOEFL results (80 minimum score).
The Prep's Admission Office welcomes letters of recommendation for applicants, but they are NOT a required element of the SHP application process. Decisions for International Candidates are made on a rolling basis.
What standardized test do I need to take?
In order to be considered for admission, all International Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by means of TOEFL results. Seton Hall Prep does require a minimum score of 80 in order to be granted an interview.
What is the acceptance rate?
Seton Hall Prep is highly selective with all students it selects for admission. All International Students attending Seton Hall Prep will take courses taught entirely in English alongside American students. In addition, enrollment for International Students in each grade is limited to five students per year. Currently, applications for 9th and 10th grades only are being accepted.

What is the cost to attend Seton Hall Prep?
For the 2016-2017 school year, the tuition and fees are as follows:
Activity Fee: $650.00
Technology Fee: $300.00
Book Fee: $500.00
International Program Fee: $1,500.00
Please note that the fees listed above do not include any transportation fees either to or from Seton Hall Prep. Transportation fees are additional and may vary depending upon distance from the school.
A $75 Fee is also paid by incoming freshmen on Registration Day. Seniors are charged a $300 graduation fee. Typically, tuition and fees increase about 4% each year.
All International Students are required to pay the tuition and fees in full by July 15 each year.

What are the average standardized scores and GPAs of the international students?
The average SAT score (Critical Reading and Math) for the 2016 graduating class was 1305, while the average for the entire school was 1178.
The average GPA for international students was approximately 3.75 for the 2015-16 academic year.
