19 Students Earn National Merit Scholar Recognition

Seton Hall Prep is proud to celebrate 19 members of the Class of 2027 who have earned recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program, including three Semifinalists and sixteen Commended students.

More than 1.2 million juniors from approximately 20,000 high schools entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).  National Merit Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional academic performance, scoring among the top 4% of all students who took the PSAT/NMSQT®.

Within that top 4%, approximately 16,500 of those students nationwide are recognized as National Merit Semifinalists, representing those who achieve the highest qualifying scores within their respective states.
