Hockey Honors SHP's Tom Ronnie on Military Appreciation Night

Hockey earns a 5-2 win over Bergen Catholic on Military Appreciation Night, where we honored SHP Security Officer Tom Ronnie, who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1985-1993.
As part of Hockey's Veterans Appreciation Night, The Pirates were proud are honor Tom Ronnie, one of our Security Officers, in front of friends, faculty, students, and his family - Kathy, his wife of 26 years, and their two children, Travis and Grace.

Tom served in the United States Marine Corps from 1985 to 1993, assigned to Field Artillery units in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Marine Divisions, with deployments around the world during peacetime. During his service, he earned numerous awards and citations and was meritoriously promoted three times, achieving the rank of Corporal.

After leaving the Marines, Tom continued his commitment to service as an Essex County Sheriff's Officer for 26 years. He worked in the Juvenile Detective Bureau, the Missing Persons Squad, and the Fugitive Warrant Squad, earning multiple medals and awards for valor in the line of duty.

Today, Tom serves as Commander of American Legion Post 185 in Caldwell, a role he has held for the past five years.
