Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
The Prep was honored to host Dr. Nariman Farvardin, President of Stevens Institute of Technology, as part of our Future STEM Leaders Club's Guest Lecture Series.
Juniors and Seniors were able to hear about Dr. Farvardin's career, Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and teachings, and more in the lecture held in SHP's Auditorium.
He and his colleagues Dr. Cindy Chin, Vice President for Enrollment Management, and Ms. April Chang, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and Pre-College Programs later answered admissions, subject major, and job questions from those Prep students who have Stevens as their first choice.
Dr. Farvardin gave an energetic presentation, and The Prep looks forward collaborating with Stevens again in the near future.
Special thanks to Mr. John Pascal - moderator of The Prep's Future STEM Leaders Club - who connected with Dr. Farvardin and invited him to share his wisdom with our students.
