Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Seton Hall Prep proudly presented its 2026 spring musical, Into the Woods, bringing Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved Broadway classic to life in the Bayley Seton Auditorium.
Directed by alumnus Andrew Martinez ’11, the production featured a talented student cast, crew, and orchestra who spent months preparing the ambitious musical, known for its challenging score, emotional storytelling, and intertwining fairy tale characters.
In his director’s note, Martinez reflected on the musical’s themes of community, family, and responsibility, noting how closely the story’s message connected to the experiences of the students involved in the production. He also praised the cast and crew for embracing the demands of the show and for their commitment throughout the rehearsal process. The production was entirely student-run and student-performed, with students contributing to stage management, construction, lighting, sound, costumes, promotions, and technical operations.
Seton Hall Prep extends its gratitude to the faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and members of The Prep community whose support helped make this year’s production possible. The success of Into the Woods once again demonstrated the passion, talent, and teamwork that continue to define the performing arts at Seton Hall Prep.
