Seton Hall Prep is New Jersey’s oldest Catholic college preparatory school. The Prep's tradition is matched by its commitment to the education of young men by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively and become contributing members of society.
At Seton Hall Prep, students participate in many of the amazing offerings available to them outside of the classroom. This includes 15 sports, more than 70 activities and clubs, a variety of intramurals and a seemingly endless number of service projects.
“To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.”
Pascal Contributes Two Articles in Mark Twain's "The Author and His Era"
SHP English Teacher John Pascal has written two articles for the Spring 2026 edition of the Mark Twain Journal
The Author and His Era.
The first is a tribute to the late K. Patrick Ober, MD, Professor of Internal Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Mark Twain scholar of many published articles.
For over a decade, Dr. Ober worked with Seton Hall Prep's Writings of Mark Twain classes and guest lectured to the Future Medical Leaders Club, including giving college and career advice to our future healthcare career students.
The second article illuminates a new example to Twain's pervasive influence on American literature, drawing upon evidence from F. Scott Fitzgerald's journal and letters to trace the connection between Zelda Fitzgerald and Mark Twain.
