Get started today on your future at Seton Hall Prep
In order to be considered for admission to Seton Hall Prep for the 9th grade, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
- Complete and submit the Seton Hall Prep Application for Admission along with the $60 application fee. This step includes registering for Seton Hall Prep's Entrance/Placement/Scholarship Exam. Online Applications are now being accepted.
- Sit for the Seton Hall Prep Entrance/Placement/Scholarship Exam on any of the available dates: November 5th, November 19th, December 3rd, or December 17th.
- Submit final transcripts for the 6th and 7th grade and for the first marking period of the 8th grade. In order to do this, complete the Transcript Release Form and return it to the applicant's current school so that they can forward his records to Seton Hall Prep. Parents are encouraged to submit a signed Transcript Release Form to their son's current school around the same time as the 1st marking period of the 8th grade is ending so that his school sends only one packet of grades for 6th, 7th and the 1st marking period of the 8th grade.
For a printable checklist to be used by applicants during the 2016 Admission Season, check out our Application Checklist Card. Admission to 9th grade is based upon an applicant’s performance on The Seton Hall Prep Entrance/Scholarship/Placement Exam AND on his 6th, 7th, and 8th grade records.
The Prep's Admission Office welcomes letters of recommendation for applicants, but they are NOT a required element of the SHP application process. Decisions for the Class of 2021 will be mailed on January 12, 2017.
