Course Work

At Seton Hall Prep we value the importance of the arts in the development of the “whole man”. We are proud to offer a wide range of courses in our Fine Arts curriculum. Here is a list of those courses:

Theater Arts I & II (on both the C.P. and honors level)

  • Music Theory I
  • Music Theory II (on both honors and A.P. level)
  • Drawing
  • Studio Art (A.P. level)
  • Art History (A.P. level)
  • Video Production
  • Speech

We also offer many courses in the Performing Arts. Here is a list of those courses:

  • Band
  • Jazz Band
  • Brass/Wind Ensemble
  • A Cappella Chorus

We also offer complementary activities that allow our students to grow artistically outside of the classroom setting. Our dramatic productions feature girls from our surrounding area schools.

We offer:

  • Music Ministry (focusing on liturgical music)
  • Fall Drama Production
  • Spring Musical Production

Our students design and build the sets for all of our dramatic productions. They also operate our lights and sound and of course, perform on stage.

Our spring Musical boasts a cast and crew of over 100 young men and women from surrounding schools.

In short: we produce videos, we sing, we dance, we act, we play instruments, we paint and draw. Most importantly, we learn, grow and learn to work together to produce some amazing artistic endeavors.

Theater Arts offers students a wide range of theatrical experiences. This year students began with special effects make up projects and culminated in a joint project with Video Production students.
