Pirates Wrestling Makes it a County 5-Peat

With six individual champions, the Pirates won their 5^th straight Essex County Wrestling Championship last night at Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange. Gabriel Jimenz (120), Larry Melchionda (126), Cole Carroll (145), Jack Wilt (160), Mike Massa (195) amd Andrew Mitzak (285) took places at the top of the podium. Melchionda, Wilt and Massa repeated their championship performances from last year’s tournament. Team scores: 1-Seton Hall Prep, 259.5; 2-West Essex, 227; 3-Livingston, 146; 4-Nutley, 131; 5-Caldwell, 106; 5-West Orange, 106.
