At Seton Hall Prep, our students are pushed to look at, think about, and respond to the changing world around them critically, effectively, and sincerely through four years of rigorous education. They learn to think of themselves, their communities, and their society broadly and deeply within our Catholic Mission.

The Annual Fund for Parents

Annual Fund gifts contributed by current parents comprise The Annual Fund for Parents which accounts for about 20% of total gifts to the overall Annual Fund. This yearly fundraising initiative runs from July 1st to June 30th in conjunction with the school’s fiscal year. All gifts to this fund are fully tax deductible.

The Annual Fund Makes All the Difference

It keeps tuition more affordable. The Annual Fund makes up the difference between what SHP charges students in tuition and the actual cost of educating them - by more than $2,000 per student!
It provides co-curricular opportunities focused on service, culture and ministry.
It helps maintain our building, our campus and our facilities.
It supports our college prep curriculum and maintains our student to teacher ratio of 12:1.
Provides everything from athletic equipment for our student athletes to important supplies for our Fine & Performing Arts Program.

The Annual Fund is different from Other Fundraisers

It is the school’s largest and most important fund because it is built directly into the school’s annual operating budget.
Annual Fund gifts are put to use immediately and so they have a direct impact on the daily lives of our young men.
Every gift from the Annual Fund is used within the fiscal year that it is given.

In 2019-2020, gifts from current parents ranged from $25.00 to $25,000.00!

In 2019-2020 a total of 288 parents gave $251,016! Every dollar counts and helps SHP provide the best possible Catholic education for our talented and deserving young men. Approximately 70% of the Prep's Annual Fund dollars comes from gifts of $1,000 or larger. All parents are asked to consider an Annual Fund gift of $1,000 or above if their means permit. All $1,000+ donors are invited to our winter reception for leadership giving and are recognized in our annual Honor Roll of Benefactors.
