Physics teacher

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics.

The candidate should also possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Extensive knowledge of laboratory safety practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, especially for Office 365
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues to promote student success

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Ability to contribute to the life of the school beyond the classroom
  • Experience designing, setting up, and facilitating laboratory experiments for students
  • NJ state teaching certification, especially in Physics or Physical Science
  • Additional bachelor's or master's degree in science education
  • Additional bachelor's or master's degree in another field of science

Theology Teacher

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Religious Studies/Theology.

The candidate should also possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, especially for Office 365
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues to promote student success

director of the thomas J. Griffin Bridges Program

Seton Hall Prep seeks an experienced professional to oversee a 12-month financial and social support program serving over 20 multicultural inner-city students. Position Summary: The Director of The Griffin Bridges Program oversees all aspects of The Thomas J. Griffin Bridges Program at Seton Hall Preparatory School as explained below.

This position works with the Office of Institutional Advancement on fundraising, with the Alumni Director for program events and recruiting mentors, the Director of Communication on program promotion, the Director of Admission on recruitment and processing of candidates and all other administrative offices and teachers on general student monitoring. 

The Director of Griffin Bridges oversees Griffin Bridges Office and sets policy to provide an open and inclusive environment in which students may gather to work, study and socialize. Office hours are flexible within the guidelines of a full-time position. The Griffin Bridges Program Director should work at times that best allow him/herself to supervise and complete tasks of the job as well as be available to students. This position will sometimes require a time commitment beyond the standard 40 hour a week period.

  • Education: Bachelor (BA, BS, etc.)
  • Salary: contingent upon experience

  • Fundraising Experience (grant writing a plus)
  • Reports to: Assistant Headmaster for Academics
