Advanced Placement Report; AP Scholars Named

The Colleg Board has reported on last spring's AP tests and the results for Seton Hall Prep were perhaps the best since the school's AP program began in earnest in 1987. The Prep administered AP tests in 17 subjects, to 174 students (up 25 from 2008) who took 317 tests (up 61). The average grade was 3.69, 2nd highest ever (3.71 in 2007), with 86.8% receiving the coveted 3 or higher, the highest percentage ever.
The College Board also announced their AP Scholars for 2009. Fifty-two Seton Hall Prep students received the honor, based upon their test scores on last year’s Advanced Placement Exams.
Brandon Orr ’09 was named National AP Scholar- (students who receive an average grade of at least 4 on all exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on 8 or more exams)
AP Scholars with Distinction (students who receive an average grade of at least 3.25 on all exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on 5 or more exams) were: Patrick Bishop ’09, James Burke ’09, Patrick Clancy ’09, William Desonne ’09, Gregory Freeman ’09, George Karas ’09, Edward MacDonald ’11, Daniel Mainardi ’09, Brendan McAuliffe ’09, Michael McGetrick ’09, Christopher Nelson ’09, Brandon Orr ’09, Christopher Osnato ’09, Nicholas Santangelo ’09, Charles Stewart ’09, Anthony Wassef ’09 and Conor Wentworth ’12.
