Activities

While recognizing that the demands of the academic program at Seton Hall consume a large portion of a student's time, we also acknowledge a responsibility to assist a student’s personal and social growth in other ways. Therefore, in keeping with our aim of educating the whole person, we offer a wide and varied co-curricular activities program to give each student the opportunity for such personal expression and social involvement. We strongly encourage each student to become involved in our program.

The activities program is designed with the concept in mind that there should be something of interest for each and every Prep student. In this spirit, students have organized a large variety of clubs and organizations. Some meet using a highly structured format, while others are purely recreational. With this as cornerstone of our program, it is a fact that no one club is more important than another.

While most organizations and activities are open to all students, membership in a few, by nature of the goals of the organization, is limited to those who meet certain criteria specific to that organization. Groups like the Ambassadors, Peer Leadership, and the National Honor Society may require minimum grade point averages, teacher nominations, interviews, and ultimately, invitations to join. Membership in others, like Student Government, is arrived at by election. By nature of their goals and objectives, these organizations have limited membership and therefore are not open to the student population at large.
