6 Livingston
The second game of the season showed continued improvement. With no reserves available, both Varsity & JV gave impressive performances. Each swept Livingston HS by scores of 7-0. The varsity registered a
high game of 1035 to start the match. Vin Simone had a 619 series and soph Paul Schoch scored a 235 game. Juniors Ron DeAngelus & Joe Condito, as well as frosh newcomer Nick Cerilli all had games of 202
to pace the JV.

ever "deuce" in competition with a 204 and Junior Joe Condito led all SHP scorers with an impressive 244!

Morris Knolls-
The SHP varsity rolled one of its best team scores,2878, but lost a 5-2 decision. This despite the high game 258 by Pete D'Angelo and 600 series thrown by Paul Schoch, Phil Barretti & Vin Simone. The JV had a quality 7-0 win, paced by Mike Alworth's 222 & Ron DeAngelus'201.

Morris Hills- A
depleted squad of just 8 men faced a formidible Morris Hills team. The JV squad saw Mike Alworth & Joe Condito move up to starting varsity roles. After losing the 1st game by 11 pins, the team bounced back to take the next two games and total pins for a 5-2 win. A pair of 194 games by Alworth & a 199 by D'Angelo helped support the effort, but the match belonged to senior Phil Barretti, rolling a 211, 244, 223-678 series—a 226 average, to put the match away! The JV, bowling with just 3 men and having to absorb 2 "blind" scores, predictably lost to the full squad of MHHS, 0-7

SHP Varsity took one on the chin in losing to league- leading Chatham 7-0. Despite bowling at the team average of 915, it was not enough to overcome 3 600series by CHS. Corey Deutsch paced with a 234
7 Morris Hills-
the Pirates lost at Varsity to Morris Hills HS 5-2. Alworth moved up to varsity for 1 game and threw a 258 to pace SHP to its one win.
10 Summit The Pirates took on Summit HS and came away
with 7-0,7-0 wins at both V. & JV. Phil Barretti's 244-638 were high scores at the Varsity
