Photos [left] show construction as October gets under way. With the granite top of a mountain just beneath the surface, tons of soil must
be hauled in, or the rock blasted away, to provide a suitable base for the two new fields. The curbing on the quarter-mile track was begun in the first weeks of October, and completed by the November photo.
Blacktop was laid on the track on December 13. |
