Catastrophic Works

When I was young, age 4 or 5
I took my bike out for a ride.

The Bike was of a grand design
But of course, anything could have been to my young mind.

For I knew if I fell off my bike that day
Catstrophic events would initiate.

Who would of thought that cool, calm day
Could hold such angst and pain for me.

I fell off my bike speeding down the street
And struck a blow on my arm which made me weep.

My bone was shattered, but not unfixable
For my loving parents rushed me to the hospital.

The doctor was kind but had a cruel disposition
Which just inflamed the already odious situation.

Pain fueled this doctor, which fueled all his work
And I still sport his "work" on my arm.

The Way It Is

Chaos leads to organization
Destruction leads to construction
Downfall leads to up-rise
Evil leads to good
Guilty leads to innocent
Fear leads to bravery
Poverty leads to prosperity
War leads to peace
Death leads to life
Nothing leads to something
Irony holds the world together.

Paradise

Peace and Tranquility
The grassy plains blowing in the wind,
Gently bending the grass one way to the next.
With the sun and all its might shining with its full beauty and grace,
Brightening all its magnificent gaze falls upon.
While the birds sing their beautiful song of life,
Echoing throughout the lands calming and soothing the soul.

How Cold Is Cold

Cold is cold when the icy wind stuns your face like a crackling whip.
Cold is cold when your body is at such a sub-zero level, you feel like a flaming inferno.
Cold is cold when your eyes glaze over with a thin sheet of ice.
Cold is cold when your breath is frozen before it protrudes your mouth.
Cold is cold when your appendages are frozen straight like a snowman's.
Cold is cold when there is no turning back and the snow falls like your fate.
Cold is cold when the crystalline structure of the snow becomes sharp as razors.
Cold is cold when the trees chatter with the frostiness along with you.
Cold is cold when the flame of your lighter is frozen just as it begins to burn.
Cold is cold when the hope is as strong as the thin ice.
Cold is cold when your legs face searing pain and you fall to the ground.
Cold is cold when you can't get up, and the ice envelopes you.
Cold is cold as the world around you is as white as the sun.
Cold is cold when your body is immobile and your lungs are frozen shut.
Cold is cold as your life dances away and you are left as blue as the sky.

I Am For Liberty

Don't tread on me,
Or you will see,
Quick as lightning strikes,
Fangs of a deadly bite.

Don't provoke me,
No longer shall you be,
While rattling my tail,
All your senses fail.

Colors, I have three,
Red, White, Blue, you see,
Fifty shining Stars
And, Thirteen colored Bars.

I am for Liberty
It's sweet as a kiss can be,
If not, I choose Death,
Because only poison is left.

Honor those before me,
They are why I'm free.
Respect those now and yonder
And, America lives longer, stronger.

Green Tea, Wild Mountain

Sitting on top of the mountain
There is nothing I cannot see
Sitting on the grass and drinking
A cup of green tea

The trees on the mountain
Give us a little shade
And the bright free sunlight
Dances in the glade

I am going to keep on climbing
Keep on climbing
Keep on drinking of'
This wild green mountain

Get to know how the
Stars in the sky
Shine down in the dawn
On the mountain where we lie

The Months That Rise and Fall

The wind stings my face, taking me by surprise
For I'm not used to this, nor the snow in my eyes.
Autumn came and went, and Winter has rushed in,
It seems like only yesterday some sun was on my skin.
I wonder why I see more buildings at the end of my street,
Then I start to remember the leaves vanish with the heat.
My feet are growing numb, as I tread through the white thickness,
Winter seems only fun and games until I catch the sickness.
Of a nose that can't breathe, frostbitten toes, and a cough that's oh so brutal,
But I stick it out for I know Christmas comes with presents and Apple Strudel.
After that, the New Year begins, and everyone celebrates.
And I mustn't forget the ponds that freeze and races on ice skates.
Pretty soon comes Valentine's Day which to most people is a joke,
I laugh out loud as I think of this, but the wind then make me choke.
It is a funny time, when Winter's here, so many ups and down,
Let's not forget the time away from school when snow days come around.
Of course there is one problem, for when I'm off from school,
I'm deprived of driving on the roads, trapped inside like a fool!
