The Class of 1955 gathered for a weekend of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of their graduation.
They met on Saturday afternoon to celebrate a Memorial Mass, celebrated by Headmaster Msgr. Michael Kelly and Msgr. Philip Morris '55. They also toured the West Orange facility, which, since they had attended the Prep
at the school's former location in South Orange on the campus of Seton Hall University, most had never seen. That evening they celebrated with a reunion dinner dance at the Parsippany Hilton. The following morning,
the 60 members of the class in attendance re-convened with the Class of 2005 to participate in this year's Commencement Exercises. They were introduced individually to the gathering of nearly 2000 in Walsh
Auditorium and received an anniversary diploma to mark the event.

As the year draws to a close, activities seem to ramp up at SHP, rather than settle down. Many take advantage of the
generally better weather [late May '05 being the exception] to head outdoors for class projects and presentations. Organizations announce new memberships for the next year and the Celebration of Excellence
spotlights the year's accomplishments and bestows honors for longstanding contributions.photos: 1-5 The National Honor Society inducts new members. • CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE-
6 Tony Lupica and Marty Berman, honored for 25 years teaching at SHP. • 7 Charlie Egan has announced his retirement after 42 years; he received an ovation from the student body as he received a gift from Msgr. The Classics classes were among the first to head outdoors into early May's good weather, rehearsing, then performing scenes from one of their spring dramas. |
