The Class of 1951 celebrated their Golden Anniversary the
weekend of June 8-9, 2001. Fifty members of the Fiftieth Anniversary Class gathered on the Friday evening to celebrate Mass in Seton Hall University's Chapel of the
Immaculate Conception, the sight of so many memories for this class, which, like others prior to the Prep's move to West Orange, essentially grew up there. After renewing
many acquaintances, they joined in the Student Center for a Dinner Dance. The following morning they were honored at the Prep's Commencement Exercises, and a Luncheon in the
Chancellor's Suite. [see their Commencement participation] The slide show below shows the 50-year class gathering outside the Chapel; Fr. Paul Manning, PhD '51, SHP Alumnus of the Year 2001
, and Commencement speaker, was the principal celebrant. The Homily was delivered by
Fr. John O'Brien '33, the Dean of Men for the guests during their days as Prepsters.
